For outdoor events, a “weighted” napkin fold is required to keep napkins from blowing away in the wind. This includes folds with plates on top of napkins, napkins wrapped around the plate or silverware tucked into the napkin in the pocket fold. The champagne glass flower fold may be used outdoors if the flutes are laid flat at the center of the place setting rather than standing next to the water glasses.
