Dave Bartels is a 12 year member of the PGA and one of the leading golf instructors in the Treasure Valley.  During his 11 years at Pierce Park Greens, Dave had the opportunity to work with many professional golfers and top amateurs.  His real passion is working with players of all abilities; and he especially enjoys introducing new players to the game.  Utilizing traditional methods such as range work and drills combined with video analysis and specific follow up, Dave is very successful in helping his students achieve their goals.  He also understands and emphasizes the importance of the short game and proper equipment selection.  2011 also marks his first year as the Swing Coach for the Boise State Women's Golf Team.

The Importance of Video

  • Most people are visual learners.

  • Real and feel can be different.  What we are doing with our golf swings and what we think we are doing are usually different.

  • It is impossible to see critical positions in the golf swing, such as clubface angles and impact positions) without video.

  • You may compare your swing to tour players.  If the majority of the best players in the world do it, it must be pretty good.

  • The video is a great reminder.  It gives you something to look at after the lesson.

  • Video allows you to see your progress over a period of time.
